Our story

GTDIS is founded by Tarun Karnani, an experienced equity and mutual fund investor from Mumbai.

As an investor, Tarun has seen the pain of the average investor at first hand: incentive-based selling, promises of the moon, relationship managers who change constantly, and no guidance on risk or asset allocation. You name it, and he saw it over the last 20 years.

For many years we researched, shared data, learnt from our mistakes, and built long-term equity and debt mutual fund portfolios for ourselves.

We then decided to share what we had learnt. We started GTDIS.

What we do

We are an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-286502), and we aim to make your investing journey seamless. From doorstep investing to mobile and online transactions, we work the way that suits you.

Alongside mutual funds, we help clients with corporate fixed deposits, RBI and Sovereign Gold Bonds, PMS and AIFs, pre-IPO shares and GIFT City investments.

What we believe

We believe a quality investing experience comes from a few basics:

• An educated investor — we explain how each product works, so you understand what you own and why.
• Quality services — prompt, courteous help with every transaction, document and question.
• Research-based recommendations — product information and research shared openly, to support your decisions.

How we are paid

We distribute Regular Plans of mutual fund schemes and earn a trail commission from the fund houses. We do not charge you a fee. Direct Plans are available from the fund houses at a lower expense ratio. Full details are on our commission disclosure page.
